Its Coming

Ok Everyone, here is how it goes.

My new website is coming. www.mredwards.com.au is nearly here.

In fact it is here now, go ahead click the link you will see the new site. However it is not finished, it is live and in a testing environment at the moment. If you want you can check it out and tell me what you think, only if you want but.

The real reason I am telling you this is because we will be officially launching the website very soon.

New Website, New blog. With this will come a whole range of things, but it feels like we need to celebrate so to mark the occasion I will have a surprise for you all…

..I wont reveal it now but I may or may not be giving a camera away……

Summer Daze……

What amazing weather we have had over the weekend!

Reminds me Summer is coming and I start to remember why I love Summer so much.

Long days in the sun with friends, cool drinks and blue skies.

Ill be spending this Monday in a Summer Daze.

A Friday Fun One

A beauty today, I have been a fan of these guys for a long time and I had no idea they had a bunch of short videos on Youtube.

Clarke and Dawe made their names doing these power interviews making satorical jokes after a current affair shows in Australia back in the 90s.

It seems they have returned to it and I love it.

If your not from Australia you may struggle with the Sense of Humour in this videos, but believe they are two comedic geniuses. So I have chosen two about recent world issues.

These guys are Brilliant.

Choosing the right Florist for your Wedding

The Studio was in desperate need of some colour. Flowers were needed to brighten up the place.

Now if you don’t already know I have huge wraps on my favourite floral fanatics – (awesome aliteration there!) The Sisters at Engadine Florist. They are in essence, creative geniuses.

After picking up what Sarah calls “a fresh bunch of pretty” we started talking as I inevitably do about weddings.

The conversation quickly turned to our shared desire to do weddings with couples that want to put their own mark on their day. Not just pick out the generic wedding package that some others offer.

Choosing the right florist is integral to your wedding day being exactly how you always imagined it would be.

“We don’t just do the flowers for a Wedding” Says Esther, one of the two sisters at Engadine florist. “We want to help style the entire day around what the couple want”

It’s this approach that leads these girls to create not just some of the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen, but also create amazing table centres from nothing, wedding arches created for ceremonies that will be talked about for years to come.

These girls love it when a couple comes in with and idea of being a little different, steering away from the norm. “The first thing we ask is does your wedding have a theme” Says Naomi, the other half of this amazing team. Now people, having a “themed” wedding doesn’t mean it resembles a backyard dress up party. People sometimes hear theme and automatically think Bridal parties in period costume or ceremonies underwater!! This is not what we mean by theme.

(Although if you are planning on getting married underwater…that would be AWESOME and give me a call!)

A theme can simply be a colour or texture you like; perhaps you plan to use a certain paper in your invitations? Bring that up! Textures compliment flowers so well and a good florist will be able to show you what will work with what you already have thought of.

Naomi continues “We can use the bridesmaids dress colours to create designs that will not only look amazing in the bridal party but can also be used in table centres and other arrangements to tie the whole day together.”

A good florist can take a few simple requests from you and create something that isn’t just flowers you hold for a few hours. Florists like the Sisters from Engadine florist will create something that ties your entire day together through colour, texture, concept or emotion.

Having a good Florist means they can create a style that is all your own and continue it through the whole day. Like the above, a wedding I photographed a few weeks ago, everything tied in so beautifully.
